Planning-Level Scoping Process

The Port Authority announced the next phase of the comprehensive planning and environmental review for the replacement of the midtown bus terminal. The Port Authority released a planning-level scoping document for public review and comment as part of the environmental review process. With the release of this planning-level scoping document, the Port Authority launched a robust 120-day public outreach process, beginning May 23, 2019, to solicit formal comment from elected officials in New York and New Jersey, the City of New York, neighborhood residents, commuters, other stakeholders, and the public on plans for a new Port Authority Bus Terminal.

The first two public meetings, one in each state, were held on July 10. To see the presentation from these meetings, click here. The third and fourth public meetings were held on September 5 in New York City and in New Jersey. The video for these meetings will be uploaded shortly. For more information, click here.
