Supplier Diversity

Getting Started

At the Port Authority of NY & NJ, we believe that our operations should reflect the diversity of our community. Because of this diversity, we have enacted a goal to award 12% of contracts to Minority owned business, and 5% of contracts to Women-owned business. In addition, we encourage each of our partners to adopt our goal.

Overview

Each year hundreds of Minority, Women, Small, and Disadvantaged Owned Businesses (MWSDBE) play a critical role in running the World's largest airport system, the East Coasts biggest seaport, and the region's most active Bridges, Tunnels, and Terminals.

With a capital plan $32.2 billion, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey requires the help of regional businesses.  Especially with such vast projects as:

  • Bayonne Bridge “Raise the Roadway”
