ADVISORY - PORT AUTHORITY TO CONDUCT EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE AT LAGUARDIA AIRPORT

There will be no impact on flight operations, motorists may notice numerous emergency vehicles in and around the airport

The Port Authority will conduct an emergency response exercise at LaGuardia Airport from 9 p.m. Friday night, July 27, until 3 a.m. Saturday, July 28. LGA operations will not be impacted during this time.

Members of the public may notice an increased police presence around the airport before and during the drill. The exercise is closed to media.

Friday’s FSE will exercise the airport’s emergency plan for mutual aid response, enabling airport personnel and local emergency organizations to train together and validate response procedures.

The exercise will include members of the Port Authority Police Department along with airport partners.
