The Port Authority Bus Terminal will conduct an emergency response exercise beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, April 12, through 5:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13.

To accommodate the drill, the bus terminal's North Wing will be closed to the public. While the exercise will not interrupt normal bus operations, some customers may need to access their bus gates via different routes. Port Authority personnel will be on hand to assist affected passengers find their gates.

Members of the public also may notice an increased police presence inside and outside of the facility before and during the drill.

The exercise is part of the Port Authority's ongoing series of drills which enable the Port Authority Police Department, agency operations personnel, and other emergency responders to test and enhance response procedures.
